Goldey-Beacom faced an undefeated Indiana (PA) squad on the road and came up short in the non-conference game, falling 83-59.
IUP went into halftime with a 10 point lead and kept its foot on the pedal in the second half, leading to its eighth win.
The Lightning were led by senior Julie Kulesza (Wilmington, DE), who ended with 23 points, seven rebounds and went 9-for-10 from the free throw line. Junior Rory Ciszkowski (Wilmington, DE) added 13 points for the night.
Ciszkowski now is 15th in school history with 791 career points. She also remains third in school history in career 3-pointers, now with 180. Second place is held by Jacinda Jones (2007-08, 09-13), who connected on 198.
Nyshae' Weaver had 24 points and nine rebounds with Shamia Strayhorn adding 19 points for IUP, which is ranked third in the Atlantic Region according to D2CSC (Division II College Sports Communicators).
Goldey-Beacom faces Saint Thomas Aquinas in Sparkill, NY on Wednesday at 7pm.
