A stellar performance last Friday for Goldey-Beacom got senior Zach Landvik-Larsen (Stroudsburg, PA) and freshman John Ferry (Rising Sun, MD) on the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Cross Country Weekly Honor Roll with junior Ny'Jashia Smith (Newark, DE) earning the same pick for Women's Cross Country.
Â
Landvik-Larsen was outstanding at the Dan Talbot Open, ending second in 28:48.88 to help Goldey-Beacom close first.
Â
It has been yet another impressive campaign for the 2019 CACC Rookie of the Year with two top-10 finishes. He also closed sixth September 15 at the Delaware State Invite.
Â
Ferry closed fifth at the same event, running in 29:23.62 and was one of four for the Lightning to end in the top 10.
Â
Ferry has his eyes set on what appears to be a promising career with two top-10 finishes on the year. It is his third appearance on the CACC Weekly Honor Roll after being picked September 5 as the league's Rookie of the Week.
Â
Smith finished seventh at the Dan Talbot Open, closing in 26:49.19 to help Goldey-Beacom end second.
Â
Giving her all these last three seasons for an improving team, Smith is the only one for the Lightning who has two top-11 finishes on the campaign. It is the third time this season she has made the Weekly Honor Roll.
Â
Goldey-Beacom on October 13 makes the short trip to Newark for the Delaware Invitational. The women's race is at 9:30 am and the men go at 10:20 am.
