Cross Country Teams Compete at the Border Battle

Goldey-Beacom's harriers took to the Garden State for a solid test against many elite at the Border Battle in Logan Township, NJ.
 
The men's race saw junior Zach Landvik-Larsen (Stroudsburg, PA) end 30th in 27:53.4, sophomore York Miles (Johannesburg, South Africa) close 53rd in 28:55.5, junior Chris Crossen (Magnolia, DE) finish 62nd in 29:08.5, Colin Kay (Lewes, DE) run in 30:26.6, fellow freshman Leo Iglesias-Gonzalez (Georgetown, DE) finish in 31:01.8 and sophomore Nehemiah Frazier (Glen Burnie, MD) end 140th in 32:34.8.
 
The Lightning closed ninth with 257 points and RPI won with a perfect score of 15.
 
The women's jaunt saw freshman Haley Schofield (Wilmington, DE) close 48th in 27:36.7, Maddie Cool (Smyrna, DE) end 49th in 27:37.1 and fellow sophomore Maddie Minnick (Wilmington, DE) finish 61st in 28:25.9.
 
The women did not get a team score.  SUNY Geneseo recorded 37 points for the win.
 
Goldey-Beacom returns to action at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championships, which will take place at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia, PA.  The men's race is at 9:00 am and the women go at 10:00 am.
