Goldey-Beacom Cross Country had a solid team showing as both teams traveled to Lebanon, PA on Saturday to compete in the LVC Dutchmen Invitational.
For the men, junior Peter Woelfl (Heilbronn, Germany) led the way once more for the Lightning as he finished in eighth place with a time of 27:04.60. After his week one sixth place finish at the Panther Invitational, Woelfl was picked Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Runner of the Week.
Freshman Zach Landvik-Larsen (Stroudsburg, Pa.) placed 14th overall with a completion time of 27:21.70.
Freshman Mike Marioni (Glendora, NJ) placed 56th at 29:06.90, improving his time from last week and senior Chris Townsend (Voorhees, N.J.) was 65th with a time of 29:22.40.
Sophomore Chris Crossen (Magnolia, Del.) finished 68th with a time of 29:31.50.
On the women's side, freshman Mikayla Cannon (Felton, Del) finished 56th place, improving her time from last week at 21:53.20.
Freshman Maddie Cool (Wilmington, Del) followed behind, finishing 61st with a time of 22:56.00. Freshman Ny'Jashia Smith (Wilmington, DE) competed in her first collegiate race placing 78th with a time of 23:45.70.
Sophomore Lilly Crone (Felton, Del) was 87th, improved her time from prior week at 25:18.20 and freshman Hailey Crawford (Newark, Del.) finished 98th with a time of 27:49.50.
Goldey-Beacom next Friday hosts the GBC Fall Classic. The Women start at 9 AM, followed by the Men at 9:45 AM.
