Sophomore Zach Landvik-Larsen (Stroudsburg, PA) continued what has been yet another beyond impressive campaign, capping it with a strong showing at the NCAA East Regional Cross Country Championship in Rochester, NY.

Landvik-Larsen ended the 10-kilometer race 42nd in 33:50.8 in what is the best finish for a Lightning harrier in over a decade.  The record books before that are incomplete regarding how well he fared against other Goldey-Beacom runners.

The 2019 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Year ended this campaign with four top-10 finishes, including second place at the GBC Fall Classic and seventh at the CACC Championship.

Others on the men's side included junior Peter Woelfl (Heilbronn, Germany) closing 59th in 34:34.2, sophomore Chris Crossen (Magnolia, DE) ending 100th in 35:48.3, senior Chris Townsend (Voorhees, NJ) finishing 102nd in 35:53.6, Michael Marioni (Glendora, NJ) closing 110th in 36:14.0, fellow freshman Micah White (Edison, NJ) ending 127th in 37:34.3 and sophomore Kyle Scherer (Wilmington, DE) finishing 132nd in 37:55.6.

This also marks the first time in program history all of the men's runners finished in fewer than 38 minutes over a 10-kilometer race.

Goldey-Beacom ended 17th with 391 points and American International won with 25 points.

The women's unit saw freshman Mikayla Cannon (Felton, DE) end 101st in 25:44.7, fellow freshman Maddie Cool (Smyrna, DE) close 110th in 26:35.5 and sophomore Lilly Crone (Felton, DE) finish 137th in 28:57.2.

The women did not have a team score as it did not have the minimum five competitors.  American International won with 42 points.

This lowers the curtain on what truly was a solid campaign for the cross country programs.  The men's unit won the GBC Fall Classic and had five finishes in the top five, including a fourth-place showing at the CACC Championship.  The women had two top-five finishes and closed sixth at the CACC Championship for its best showing since 2003.
