Track and Field Competed at the 15th Annual Paul Kaiser Classic

Goldey-Beacom Men's and Women's Track and Field teams competed in the Paul Kaiser Classic in Shippensburg, PA. Both teams showed tremendous effort in their last meet before the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championships.

For the men's team, Khalil Lau-Dickinson (Newark, Del.) took home fourth place in the men's 800-meter final with a time of 1:57.54. Aaron Easter (Elkton, Md.) placed eighth in the men's 3000-meter run with a time of 9:11.43.

Jono Hooper (Brisbane, Australia) added a fifth-place finish for the men's team in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:32.89. Alex Eaddy (Townsend, Del.) took eighth in the men's triple jump with a mark of 13.15 meters.

The men's 4x100 meter relay team of Eaddy, Lau-Dickinson, Jayden Velazquez (Middletown, Del.), and Zavea Brooks-Alexander (Wilmington, Del.) took fifth place with a time of 44.41 seconds. The men's 4x400 meter relay team of Brooks-Alexander, Myles Weston (New Castle, Del.), Eaddy, and Lau-Dickinson took third with a time of 3:34.37.

For the women's team, Shawnae' Sykes (Wilmington, Del.) ran the 200-meters in 28.65 and she ran the 400-meters in 1:06.45. Cara Jones (Wilmington, Del.) competed in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 21:50.78 to take 15^th place.

Chelsey James (Cherry Hill, N.J.) competed in the long jump with a mark of 4.71 meters. James also took seventh place in the women's triple jump with a mark of 10.66 meters.

Alexis Harrison (Millville, N.J.) and Tamia Davis (New Castle, Del.) both competed in the women's shot put. Harrison had a mark of 10.63 meters and Davis had a mark of 10.17 meters, Harrison and Davis placed back to back in the women's discus. Harrison had a mark of 2630 meters and Davis had a mark of 26.03 meters.

Goldey-Beacom Men's and Women's Track and Field teams will compete next at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship on Saturday, May 5 in Lakewood, NJ. Events are scheduled to start at 9:30AM.
