Goldey-Beacom on Wednesday to Host Welcome Back Game

Goldey-Beacom on Wednesday will help celebrate the new semester as all are invited to the "Welcome Back Game" with the men's basketball squad facing West Chester.

Tip-off at the Jones Center is 7:00 pm. T-shirts will be provided for the fans until supplies last and a pizza party will be held for all students with a valid ID. Other surprises are planned as we welcome everyone back to campus for the spring semester.

Goldey-Beacom (8-7, 6-1 CACC) enters having won seven of its last nine contests, including Saturday's 85-58 triumph over Caldwell. After playing their first three games of the season against regional opponents who at some point this season have been nationally ranked, GBC holds a one-game lead over Jefferson (5-2) in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference South Division.

Senior Corey Taite (Sayreville, NJ) again is one of the vocal points for a squad which last season won the South Division. The reigning CACC Player of the Year and first team all-region pick is third in the league this season with 19.3 points per game, fourth with 270 points, second with an .878 free throw percentage and ninth with a .403 three point percentage.

Sophomore Marcellus Livingston (Linden, NJ) also has been on a tear, making his mark as one of the conference's most dangerous shooting guards. A scoring threat every contest, Livingston is 15th in the league with 14.7 points per game, 11th with 220 points, fourth with 31 three-pointers, eighth with 23 steals and 12th with a .392 three-point percentage.
