Goldey-Beacom is encouraging all to help participate in a "White Out" on Tuesday as its men's basketball team is home against Felician in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament quarterfinals.

Game time is 7:00 pm and tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for students, seniors and children.  Goldey-Beacom students are admitted free with a valid ID.

As part of the night's festivities, all in attendance are asked to wear white.  Free pizza will be available for all Goldey-Beacom students and rally towels will be provided upon availability.

The winner of Tuesday's game advances to the semifinals on Saturday against the survivor of the quarterfinal between Dominican (NY) and Wilmington (DE).  That game takes place at a time to be determined on the campus of Jefferson University in Philadelphia.  The final is Sunday at 2:30 pm with the winner receiving an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.

Please note for each game, there are no advance ticket sales and no complimentary tickets.

Goldey-Beacom (19-9, 15-4 CACC) is continuing a more than impressive campaign in which it won its first CACC South Division title since 2012 and the third overall.  The squad went on an eight-game winning streak earlier this season and has won 10 of its last 11 games.

One of the driving forces on the team has been junior guard Corey Taite (Sayreville, NJ), who is a vitally important piece to the puzzle whether with his playmaking, scoring or defense.  He is 62nd in the country with 19.3 points per game, 14th with 61 steals, 21st with 145 free throws, 25th with 2.18 steals per contest, 71st with 976 minutes and 84th with 34.9 minutes per game.

Taite this season has been tabbed CACC Player of the Week three times and to the Weekly Honor Roll eight times.

Senior forward Dante Thompson (Coram, NY) has been one of the squad's most valuable players with his dominating inside presence and his ability to disrupt the opponent's offense.  Thompson is 81st in the nation with 8.1 rebounds per game, 87th with 218 rebounds, 27th in the league with 12.7 points per contest and 15th with 81 free throws.

Thompson was picked the league's Defensive Player of the Week on January 10 and to the Weekly Honor Roll on November 27.

While the individual accomplishments have been many, the team numbers also are there.  The Lightning enter the week third in the country with 19.71 forced turnovers per game, sixth with 271 steals, sixth with 9.7 steals per game and sixth with a 4.8 turnover margin.

Goldey-Beacom in its history is 4-1 in home conference-tournament games with four straight victories.
