Goldey-Beacom College once again is proud to welcome many of its alumni back to campus by hosting its third annual "Legacy Night" during Saturday's men's basketball game against Bridgeport.

The activities begin at 6:00 pm and the game starts at 7:00 pm.

Among the activities in the Rollins Atrium are Legacy Glow Golf hosted by Student Affairs, a photo booth, waffles-on-a-stick and an ice cream truck.  Outside between the Jones Center and the Fulmer Center, hamburgers and hot dogs will be available at the Goldey Grille.

The Goldey Grille and Legacy Suite provided by the GBC Alumni Association.

Alumni and their families also are invited to take part by visiting the Legacy Suite in the Wimberley Room.  Food and beverages are available along with the opportunity to meet with many of Goldey-Beacom's administrators and coaches.

Goldey-Beacom's men's basketball team last season made a statement by winning the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference South Division and tying the school record for most victories with 20, marking the fourth time it has done this.  It also notched back-to-back 20-win seasons for the second time in program history (2009-10, 2010-11), advanced to the CACC Tournament semifinals and won 11 of its last 13 contests.

Goldey-Beacom's success this upcoming season relies a great deal on senior guard Corey Taite (Sayreville, NJ), the reigning CACC Player of the Year.  An explosive player who is as solid on both ends of the floor as it gets, Taite last season also was picked first team NABC All-East Region, CCA All-East Region and a member of the CACC All-Tournament Team.

One of the College's most gifted student-athletes and one of its most dedicated, Taite last season closed 61st in the country with 19.4 points per game, 14th with 67 steals, 20th with 2.23 steals per contest, 21st with 156 free throws, 51st with 581 points, 69th with 1,058 minutes and 76th with 35.3 minutes per game.  He also ended first in the CACC in free throws, second in points and third in points per game.

While it is hard to believe this is his senior year, Taite enters the campaign fourth in school history with 1,236 points, second with a .396 three-point percentage, second with 318 free throws, third with 148 three-pointers, fourth with 268 assists, tied for fourth with 167 steals, fifth with 385 field goals and seventh with 388 rebounds.

Goldey-Beacom was picked to end second in the CACC South Division based on a vote by the league's coaches.
