Goldey-Beacom's basketball squads have been on a tear all season and they will carry that into the quarterfinals of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament this Saturday.

The women's squad (17-11, 13-6 CACC) closed second in the CACC South Division and is home Saturday against Dominican-NY (11-17, 11-8), starting at 2:00 pm at the Jones Center.  Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for students, seniors and children.  Goldey-Beacom students are admitted free with a valid ID.

The men's team (20-6, 14-5) clinched third place in the South Division and will visit Dominican-NY (17-11, 12-7) on Saturday at 2:00 pm in Orangeburg, NY.  The ticket prices above remain the same, but please note any Goldey-Beacom students wishing to attend will have to pay admission.

Please note for each game, there are no advance ticket sales and no complimentary tickets.

The women are back in the conference tournament for the seventh time in the last eight seasons and are hosting a game in this field for the first time since 2013.  It is looking for its second championship after winning in 2011.

The Lightning for the last three seasons have been paced by junior Lexi Bruno (Millville, NJ), the do-it-all guard who is one of the most explosive scores and playmakers in the country.  Her prowess has help her to second place in school history with 1,496 points, first with 201 three-pointers and first with 446 assists.

The first team All-CACC pick from last season is 22nd in the nation this season with 18.8 points per game, second with 1,027 minutes, 21st with 73 three-pointers, 20th with 5.6 assists per contest, 92nd with 96 free throws and 24th with 179 baskets.

Another key player for the squad is junior forward Britani Bryson (Hampton, VA), who had been a force in the paint with her outstanding scoring and rebounding skills.  One of the squad's go-to players, Bryson already is ninth in team history with 1,084 points and fifth with 782 rebounds.

A third team all-conference pick from last season, Bryson is 13th in the country this season with 284 rebounds, tied for 11th with 14 double-doubles, 28th overall with 177 baskets, 37th with a .515 field goal percentage, 25th with 10.1 rebounds per game and 11th in the CACC with 14.6 points per contest.

Junior guard Tanner Turner-Rush (Harrisburg, PA), also a member of the women's soccer team, comes off the bench and provides solid minutes with her great shooting and court awareness.  She is 52nd in the league with 7.2 points per contest.

The men's team earlier this season went on a 12-game winning streak and a seven-game road winning streak, both school records.  The team last week was placed ninth in the first NCAA East Region Rankings and is in search of its first CACC title.

A key find for the team this season has been senior guard Riyan Williams (Dunkirk, MD), who transferred from Georgetown University.  Possessing all of the tools one requires to help elevate any squad, he is 81st in the country with a .530 field goal percentage and 18th in the CACC with 14.5 points per game.

Senior guard Shakeem Wilson (Brooklyn, NY) also has been a tremendous asset for the program with his intuitiveness and his scoring ability.  He is 20th in the CACC with 13.7 points per game, 15th with a .481 field goal percentage and 20th with a .741 free throw percentage.

Senior guard Parris Ridgeway-Higgs (New Castle, DE) has been a reliable player for four seasons and is one who always can be counted on when it comes to leadership.  He is 65th in the country with a 2.27 assist-to-turnover ratio, 34th in the CACC with 11.2 points per game, sixth with 3.8 assists per contest and ninth with a .520 field goal percentage.
