Women’s Basketball Selected to End Fourth in CACC South

Goldey-Beacom's women's basketball squad was selected to close fourth in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference South Division based on a vote by the league's coaches.
 
The women's unit turns to the shoulders of senior forward Britani Bryson (Hampton, VA), a strong post player who last season was picked second team All-CACC after being tabbed third team in 2016.  She finished last season 17th in the country in with 15 double-doubles, 27th with 10.3 rebounds per game, 41st with a .514 shooting percentage, 59th with 182 baskets, 11th in the league with 14.5 points per game, 10th with 0.8 blocks per contest and 28th with 31.1 minutes per game.
 
Bryson enters the season ninth in school history with 1,097 points, third with a .466 field goal percentage, fourth with 796 rebounds, fourth with 96 blocks, seventh with 445 baskets and 10th with 206 made free throws.
 
Junior Tanner Turner-Rush (Harrisburg, PA) will return to the hardwood once her soccer season is complete.  A valuable reserve guard who averaged 27 minutes per game off the bench, she ended 50th in the league a season ago with 7.3 points per game, 14th with a .354 three-point percentage, 19th with 1.6 three-pointers per contest, 36th with 0.3 blocks per game, 45th with 0.9 steals per contest and scored in double figures 10 times.
 
Fifth-year coach Bethann Burke sports 54 victories during his time with three CACC Tournament appearances, including a home quarterfinal game last season.  The squad last season (17-12, 13-6 CACC) posted the most overall and league wins during her time and as a program went to the league tournament for the seventh time in the last eight years.
 
GBC opens its season November 10 against Le Moyne in Philadelphia, PA.
