Goldey-Beacom's men's basketball squad looks to get back on track during the 2015-16 season, but it will have to do it once again facing a challenging schedule.

The first of 16 home games takes place in the GBC Tip-Off Tournament on November 14 against New York Tech and continues the next day vs. LIU Post.  The classic-format tournament also features Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference foe University of the Sciences.

Exhibition road games against Division I Coppin State and Morgan State take place in November before the Lightning open their 19-game league slate December 2 at Holy Family.  That will be three days before a road test at reigning-league-champion Philadelphia U.

GBC will enjoy a stretch from January 12 – February 6 in which it plays six of seven games in that span at home.  Two of those games will feature South Division opponents as the squad entertains Philadelphia U. on January 20 and Holy Family on February 3.

The home finale is February 20 against Wilmington (DE) and the regular season ends February 23 at Georgian Court.

The conference quarterfinals are February 27 and both the semifinals and final take place on the campus of Dominican College in Orangeburg, NY.

Junior Sameen Swint (Sicklerville, NJ) returns after closing fourth on the squad last season with 7.9 points per game, 33rd in the league with 1.0 three-pointers made per contest and averaged 2.5 rebounds over 24 games.

Junior Parris Ridgeway-Higgs (New Castle, DE) gives the Lightning solid play at guard, ending last season averaging 6.1 points and 2.1 assists per contest.  Sophomore Daniel Cooper (Homestead, FL) provides a great deal of explosiveness as he closed last season fourth on the squad with a .428 shooting percentage to go with 6.0 points per game.

The squad only needs seven victories to reach 200 since the program's re-instatement in 1998-99.
