NEWARK, Del. - Junior forward Derrick Archie (Christiana H.S./Wilmington, Del.) scored 17 points and matched a season high by grabbing 13 rebounds as Goldey-Beacom College (10-14, 8-9) held off a late rally by Wilmington University (9-18, 5-13) to spoil the Wildcats' Senior Day with a 66-63 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory at the Wilmington University Athletics Complex on Tuesday evening.

Archie, who posted his third "double double" of the season, scored all 17 of his points in the second half as the Lightning snapped a three-game losing streak. He made three of five field goal attempts and converted 11 of 12 free throws.

While Archie led the Lightning to the victory, freshman guard Donte McGill (Mont Clare Academy/Newark, Del.) tallied a game-high 23 points after making 10 of 16 shots from the floor and three of four free throws. It marked his sixth 20-point game of the season.

Senior forward Will Williams (Keystone Regional H.S./Flushing, N.Y.) added 12 points off the bench, making 6 of 8 field goal attempts while adding five rebounds.

One of three seniors playing in the final home game of their careers, senior guard Shaq Monroe-Gaskins (South Philadelphia H.S./Philadelphia, Pa.) led the Wildcats by scoring 13 points while grabbing three rebounds with three steals. Junior forward Rashaun Rasheed (Atlantic City, N.J.) added 10 points with nine rebounds after going 4-for-7 from the field.

The Lightning, who remain in fourth place in the CACC South Division standings, will return home on Saturday, Feb. 22 to begin a two-game homestand against Dominican. Opening tip-off is set for 3 p.m. at the Joseph West Jones College Center.
