CALDWELL, N.J. – Goldey-Beacom College will be represented by both its men's and women's basketball teams at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament semifinals on Fri. as both Lightning hoop squads look to take home a conference championship and NCAA Tournament berth. Fans who cannot make the game can watch via a free webcast by following the links on the calendar at the right.
The men, a No. 2 seed out of the South Division, will battle the No. 1 seed out of the North, Bloomfield College in a rematch of last year's thrilling semifinal contest won by the Deacons, 78-76. Tip-off is at 2 p.m.
The women, a No. 3 seed out of the South, will look to pull off another upset against the North's No. 1 seed, Nyack College. The Lightning earned their first trip to the semifinals since the 2006-07 season when they defeated No. 2 seed Philadelphia University for the second time in a week at the Gallagher Center on Tues. night. They tip-off at 7 p.m.
