Wilmington, DE – White's 21 not enough as Lightning fall to #6 C.W. Post.

The Goldey-Beacom College opened 2009 hosting the #6 ranked C.W. Post University this past Saturday.  The Lightning went on a 7-0 scoring run to open up the non-conference match-up, but then the Pioneers then took charge of the game, as they went on a 25-2 scoring run.  The Lightning then changed gears, and matched every point the Pioneers put up, but were down at the end of the half 45-30.

The Lightning started the second half struggling to find their offense, as the Pioneers stretched their lead.  Kyle White led the Lightning's second half surge with 14 points, but it was not enough to put a dent in the lead that the Pioneers had taken.  The Lightning fell to C.W. Post 93-63.

Kyle White led the Lightning with a total of 21 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 steals.  Darrell Johnson added 9 points and 5 rebounds and Anthony Parham added 8 points and 8 rebounds. 

The Lightning will next play host to cross-town and CACC rival Wilmington University on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at 8:00pm.
