Philadelphia, PA – White and Miles score big but Lightning drop tough game to Philadelphia

Juniors Kyle White and Adrian Miles scored big last night, but the Lightning fell 73-60 at Philadelphia University.  The Lightning played well in the first half, and led the Rams by as many as nine points, on two separate occasions.  However, Philadelphia University trimmed the deficit to five in the final minutes of the half, as the Lightning took a 32-27 advantage into intermission.

The Rams exploded in the second half, as they used a 16-2 run, and 68% shooting to gain the lead.  The Lightning tried to keep pace, and fought back to reduce the Ram's lead to 59-55 with 3:35 remaining in the game on a hoop from junior Kyle White.  Unfortunately, that would be as close as the Lightning would get, as the Rams connected on back-to-back 3-pointers, and stretched their lead to ten.

Kyle White led the Lightning in scoring with 20 points, while junior Adrian Miles filled the stat sheet with 19 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 assists.  Sam McDuffie came up big on the boards with 8 rebounds and added 7 points.

The Lightning will next face off against another CACC rival on Tuesday, January 27 at 8:00pm at Holy Family University.
