Wilmington, DE – Lightning attempt comeback but Bloomfield too much

Even with five players in double-digit figures, the Lightning could not comeback to overtake Bloomfield College in last night's CACC match-up.

The fast-pasted game started with the Lightning and Deacons trading baskets, until Bloomfield went on a late run, and lead by 13 (45-32) at the break.

The Lightning saw the Deacons stretch their lead out to 21 during the first nine minutes of the second half, until the Lightning struck back to cut the Deacons lead down to 8.  Unfortunately, the gap would not get any closer, as the Deacons handed the Lightning 95-83 loss. 

Kyle White led the Lightning with 21 points.  Azeez Ellegood put up 15 points, while Jon Crawford added 13 points and 6 rebounds.  Darrell Johnson led the Lightning with rebounds with 9 rebounds and added 12 points, while Anthony Parham contributed 10 points and 5 rebounds. 

The Lightning will travel to CACC rival Philadelphia University this Thursday, January 22, 2009 for an 8:00 game.
