Box score

Wilmington, DE – White's 23 points leads Lightning to narrow victory over Columbia Union

The Lightning men's basketball team hosted Columbia Union last night in an exciting non-conference match-up.  The Lightning and Pioneers traded baskets for most of the first half, as both teams shot 52% from the floor, but Columbia Union took the half-time lead 41-36, behind 89% foul-shooting (8-9).

The Lightning fought back in the second half, to take the lead, and ultimately win the game 73-71.  However, the game was still in question until a last-second Columbia Union layup, fell short.  With the win, the Lightning improves to 3-3, while the Pioneers drop to 1-5.

The Lightning were led by Kyle White's 23 points, 10 rebounds, 3 steals and 3 assists, his first double-double of the season.  Anthony Parham added another double double, with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

The Lightning begins CACC play on December 6, at 7pm vs. Caldwell College.
