West Chester, PA – Lightning fall at West Chester University

The Lightning women's basketball team traveled to West Chester University for the non-conference game on Saturday, and struggled against the Golden Rams from the start.  West Chester nearly doubling the Lightning's shots made in the first half, and led at intermission 49-26. 

The Lightning pushed through the second half behind the play of Janae Weldon (20 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists) and Kellyn Nolan (12 points and 6 rebounds), trying to overcome the deficit.  However, West Chester could not be stopped and the Lightning fell 63-91.

The Lightning will finish out the 2008 year, by hosting St. Michaels College at 5pm on December 30.
