Bloomsburg, Pa – McDuffie, Miles and White lead Lightning to win over Bloomsburg

Goldey-Beacom raced out to an 8-1 lead, only to see the Huskies go on an 11-2 run, and have a 14-10 lead with 9:37 remaining in the first half.  The two teams would trade baskets over the next eight minutes of play, but the Lightning would take a 26-25 lead into intermission.

Bloomsburg regained the lead early in the second half, and maintained a six-point cushion, until the Lightning stuck back in the final minutes. Sophomore Sam McDuffie sealed the Lightning win with two free throws with just seconds left on the clock, as the Lightning edged out Bloomsburg 64-61.

Sam McDuffie led the Lightning with 17 points and 9 rebounds.  Junior Adrian Miles provided 19 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals, while classmate Kyle White added 18 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 steals.  With the win, the Lightning improves to 4-5, while Bloomsburg drops to 2-6.

The Lightning will next tip-off against West Chester University this coming Saturday, December 20, 2008 in West Chester, Pennsylvania.
