Sophomore Patrick McRae has been named as the Goldey-Beacom College Male Athlete of the Month for the month of March, 2012 after leading the Lightning to a sixth place finish at the St. Thomas Aquinas Spring Invitational. McRae, who finished in fifth place at the tournament, fired a season-best 70 in the opening round of the tournament and was just five strokes behind the first place golfer.
