Goldey-Beacom went through its last tune-up before the conference championships by competing in the Gettysburg Invitational in Gettysburg, PA.

Senior Jono Hooper (Brisbane, Australia) once again was the Lightning's top runner, ending 72nd in 27:54.4. Senior Victor Rueda-Jimenez (Milford, DE) ran in 29:43.4, sophomore Jason Hyland (Audubon, NJ) stopped the clock in 31:29.0 and sophomore Chauncey Nichols (New Castle, DE) ended in 31.33.0.

The Lightning were 22nd with 638 points.

Senior Mary Ann Jones (Frederick, MD) was Goldey-Beacom's top finisher for the first time all year, closing in 28:05.7. Junior Alivia Gillard (Manchester, England) ran in 28:36.5, sophomore Cara Jones (Wilmington, DE) ended in 29:35.9 and senior Juana Henao (Bogota, Colombia) finished in 29:46.4.

GBC finished 25th with 779 points.

This was Goldey-Beacom's final race before the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship, which takes place October 28 at Belmont Plateau. The women's race is at 9:00 am and the men go at 10:00 am.
