NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Junior Ido Yehuda of the men's basketball team and sophomore Lindsay Duck of the women's basketball team were the two Goldey-Beacom College representatives on the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference All-Academic Team for the 2009-10 winter season, the conference announced today.
Yehuda and Duck were selected among 34 student-athletes from 14 conference schools. In order to be named to the CACC All-Academic team, recipients must have participated in a winter CACC Championship sport, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have been a student at their current school for at least two semesters, and achieve a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher.
This marks the second Winter All-Academic Team selection for Yehuda, an Accounting Information Systems major with a 3.89 grade-point average. Yehuda, a native of Hod Hasharon, Israel, was a guard on this year's Lightning squad that advanced to the school's first-ever CACC Championship game.
Duck, a native of Stafford, Va.,is a Business Administration major with a 3.94 grade-point average. She played a key role as a bench player on this year's Lightning squad that advanced to the CACC Semifinals this March.
