NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Both the men and women Lightning basketball teams will be representing Goldey-Beacom College in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference tournament, beginning Mon., Mar. 1.
The men's team enters the conference playoffs as the No. 2 team out of the CACC South Division. The Lightning will host the No. 3 seed (Chesnut Hill College or Wilmington) in quarterfinal action at 7 p.m. Mon. night. Admission will be charged for all CACC Tournament games. For adults, tickets are $6, $3 for children, seniors, and students with ID.
The women's team has earned a No. 3 seed out of the CACC South Division. The Lightning women will visit the No. 2 seed, Philadelphia University on Tues. night at 7 p.m.
The conference semifinals and final round will be held on Fri. and Sat. at Caldwell College.
The seedings for the women's basketball tournament are as follows:
North

1. Holy Family
2. Philadelphia
3. Goldey-Beacom
4. Wilmington
There was a three-way tie between Dominican, Bloomfield and Caldwell in the North. They all split games against each other. The tie-breaker was decided by how each team faired against Nyack. DC was 2-0, BC was 1-1 and Caldwell was 0-2.
In the South, GBC and Wilmington tied at 12-7. However, GBC swept WU in the regular-season to get the No. 3 seed.
On the men's side, the final games of the regular-season are complete, so the seeds for the CACC Tournament are set.

Bloomfield and Felician tied at 14-4, and they split their two games. Bloomfield went undefeated against the rest of the North, and Felician has a loss to Post, so BC is the #1 seed. They will be Co-North Division regular-season champs.
In the South, Wilmington and Chestnut Hill tied at 7-10. They split in the regular-season, so Wilmington's 2-0 sweep of USP gives them the 3 seed.
Monday evening's match-ups are as follows. All games are 7:00 starts.
