Goldey-Beacom College to Hold Homecoming Race/Walk on October 3

Goldey-Beacom College will open Homecoming Weekend in grand style by holding its second annual 5K race and family fun walk on Saturday, October 3.

The event will cover several closed side streets around campus as well as Weather Hill Farm Park just off Stoney Batter Road. All who participate can choose to run or walk the five kilometers (3.1 miles).

All proceeds will help benefit the Spread the Love Foundation, a non-profit organization striving to add critical social skills into the curriculum for students from kindergarten through the 12th grade. The attempt is to insure a positive, kind and successful future for every student.

The run/walk is just one of many events which will be held that day. The volleyball squad hosts Dominican (NY) at noon, the soccer teams will host a doubleheader against Nyack at 1:00 pm and Kid Fun will be held from 1-3 pm that features a kiddie train and moon bounce.
