Amber Wroble Named Secretary for CACC SAAC

Junior Amber Wroble (Mechanicsville, MD), who has displayed a great deal of leadership in two seasons for Goldey-Beacom College's softball team, has been named secretary for the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
 
The honor carries a great deal of significance as she is only one of four elected officials who all were voted on by members of the league and the conference boasts 14 schools.
 
"Amber Wroble has been a huge asset to our campus SAAC," Goldey-Beacom Compliance Specialist and SAAC Advisor Kelly McBryan said. "She has served as secretary to our committee the past year and with her help we were able to organize two successful fundraisers; the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and community service with the Ronald McDonald House.  She has a lot of energy and creativity that she will be able to bring to the conference SAAC.  I know she will make GBC proud."
 
The CACC's SAAC actively encourages involvement of all student-athletes in campus and community projects.  It also designs, implements and gives tools to programs which encourage academic achievement, health promotion, social responsibility and general awareness as well as provide community service.
 
Wroble made herself an important part of the squad by competing in 30 contests with 23 starts that included 18 at second base.  She notched 31 putouts on the season, 30 assists and had an inside-the-park home run April 1 against Chestnut Hill.
 
The Business Administration major will be a member of the CACC Spring Academic Honor Roll once the team is announced.
 
Other elected officials included chair Ben Salsby from Georgian Court University, vice-chair Kerrin Kallman from Post University and treasurer Kristen Owens from Post University.
