Patrick McRae and Garrett Brown Headed to the NCAA Men’s Golf Regionals

Goldey-Beacom senior Patrick McRae (Markham, ON) and sophomore Garrett Brown (Severn, MD) each found out today they will be competing in the NCAA East/Atlantic Men's Golf Regional.

The regional takes place May 4-6 at the Longaberger Golf Club in Nashport, OH, consisting of three rounds with tee times selected by the NCAA. The duo on Monday would tee off between 12:50 pm and 1:30 pm with Tuesday's tee time between 8:20 am and 9:00 am.

McRae, who will make his third trip, this season is averaging 79.00 over 11 reported tournaments with four top-10 finishes and seven top-20 finishes. He won the Philadelphia U. Invitational on March 31, was second at the GBC Fall Invitational on October 6 and closed tied for fifth at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship to make the all-tournament team.

At the 2012 NCAA Regionals, McRae shot 229 to finish tied for eighth and missed qualifying for the national tournament by two shots. In 2013, he ended tied for 46th with 233.

Brown, making his second NCAA appearance, this year was picked All-CACC and holds a 79.11 average over 10 reported tournaments. He has four top-10 finishes that include ending tied for fifth at the GBC Fall Invitational and tied for ninth at the Dowling Shootout in September.

Brown last year closed tied for 30th at the NCAA Regional with 223.
