Garrett Brown Named All-CACC for Men’s Golf

Goldey-Beacom sophomore Garrett Brown (Severn, MD) was rewarded for his solid play this season for the men's golf squad in being picked to the All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Team.

Brown, who last spring competed at the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional Championship, is averaging 79.11 over 18 reported rounds this year, has broken 80 nine times and has four top-10 finishes. He closed tied for fifth at the GBC Fall Invitational with 79, tied for eighth at the Philadelphia U. Invitational with 81, tied for ninth at the Dowling Shootout with 148 and 10th at the Cottrell Invitational with 152.

Brown last week was named to the CACC Weekly Honor Roll after the Cottrell Invitational. He shot an opening-round 76 and then came back with 78.

This marks the 12th time in the last 13 years the Lightning have had at least one player named All-CACC.

Goldey-Beacom is in action next Tuesday and Wednesday at the CACC Championship in Blue Bell, PA.
