Lexi Bruno Named to CACC Women’s Basketball Weekly Honor Roll

Goldey-Beacom freshman Lexi Bruno (Millville, NJ) continued what has been a standout campaign in being picked to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Weekly Honor Roll.

Bruno averaged 18.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists over two games last week with three steals. She had 18 points, four rebounds, three assists and two 3-pointers December 31 at Millersville. Bruno came back with 18 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, three steals and two 3-pointers in a big 85-64 league victory at Nyack.

Bruno has had a major say in the Lightning's success this season, which has seen the squad win five of their last nine outings. She is 10th in the CACC with 13.9 points per game, second with an .814 free throw percentage, ninth with 1.8 three-pointers per contest, seventh with a .391 three-point percentage and fifth with 3.9 assists per game.

It is Bruno's third honor from the league this season. She was named the CACC Rookie of the Week on December 4 and December 22.

Bruno and the Lightning look to keep things going Wednesday at Holy Family with a 6:00 pm tipoff in Philadelphia.
