MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The Goldey-Beacom College volleyball team suffered a pair of tough losses against Virginia Union and Stonehill to finish their schedule at the Millersville University Marauder Clash on Saturday afternoon at Pucillo Gymnasium.
Now 1-3 on the season, the Lightning dropped a five-set decision against Virginia Union before losing to Stonehill in a three-set match.
Senior outside hitter
Kadi McCoy (Dallastown H.S./Dallastown, Pa.) led the Lightning by recording 26 kills in the two matches, including 17 kills against Virginia Union. She also contributed 18 digs in the two matches.
Meanwhile, senior defensive specialist
Niki Receveur (Concord H.S./Wilmington, Del.) posted a season-high 20 digs in the match against Virginia Union.
The Lightning will open their home schedule on Tuesday night by welcoming Bowie State into the Joseph West Jones College Center for a 7 p.m. match.
