Maria Victoria (Totana, Spain) was named as an honorable mention selection for the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women's tennis Player of the Week award for the week ending Sept. 7, it has been announced by CACC officials.
In leading the Lightning to a pair of 9-0 victories over Molloy and Daemen, Victoria earned two singles wins along with winning her lone doubles match. She played at the number one singles flight for the first time in her career against Molloy and earned a 6-4, 6-1 victory. In addition, she claimed a 6-0, 6-0 triumph at number two singles in the match against Daemen after an 8-0 win at the number one doubles flight with freshman

Victoria, who has posted a 13-6 singles record in her career, will lead the Lightning into a pair of matches on Saturday, Sept. 13 at the Delcastle Tennis Center. After hosting NYIT at 11 a.m., the Lightning will open their CACC schedule by facing Post at 3 p.m.
