Lexi Bruno Picked CACC Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week

Freshman guard, Lexi Bruno (Millville, NJ), of the Lightning women's basketball team has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week, it was announced by CACC officials on Monday afternoon.

Bruno progressed nicely offensively and continued that over two games last week. She set new career highs in point in consecutive games by notching 10 points on 4-13 shooting from the floor in a 77-55 loss to West Chester University on Tuesday evening then exploded for a game high 21 points in an 80-72 defeat to University of New Haven on Saturday. She shot 50% from the floor (7-14) and also hit three of six 3-point attempts and knocked down 4-of-8 from the free throw line.

This marks the first time this season a member of the Lightning women's basketball team has won a weekly award.
