Britani Bryson Named CACC Women’s Basketball Rookie of the Week; Chukwueze and Gebhart Picked to Honor Roll

Goldey-Beacom freshman Britani Bryson (Hampton, VA) was tabbed the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week with senior Lillian Chukwueze (Cherry Hill, NJ) making the Women's Honor Roll and senior Chris Gebhart (Cherry Hill, NJ) getting on the Men's Honor Roll.

Bryson averaged 15.5 points on 13-of-24 shooting and 5.0 rebounds over two games last week. She had a mammoth game Thursday at 10th-ranked Adelphi, scoring 23 points on 9-of-16 shooting and adding six rebounds. Bryson also had eight points and four rebounds Tuesday vs. University of the Sciences.

Chukwueze averaged 17.0 points and 5.0 rebounds over two games. She had 17 points and 12 rebounds Tuesday in a big win over University of the Sciences before getting 17 and eight two days later at Adelphi.

Gebhart had another monster week by averaging 17.3 points and 10.7 rebounds over three games in shooting 61 percent (22-of-36) from the floor. He had 14 points and 11 rebounds Tuesday vs. University of the Sciences before getting 25 points on 12-of-14 shooting with 11 rebounds Thursday at Adelphi. Gebhart also had 13 points and 10 rebounds Saturday at Kutztown for his fourth straight double-double and sixth this season.

Both teams are in action this Wednesday at Chestnut Hill. The women's game starts at 6:00 pm and the men begin at 8:00 pm.
