Philadelphia, Pa.- The Goldey-Beacom Lightning Men's Cross Country team finished in third place out of twelve teams in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference championship meet held at Belmont Plateau on Sunday afternoon. The team championship was taken by Philadelphia University after posting a team score of 45.
The Lightning were led by junior
Aaron Easter (Rising Sun H.S./ Elkton, Md.). Easter posted an 8K time of 28:02 which was good for a fifth place finish overall. With his fifth place finish, Easter was also named to the All-CACC team. This is the second consecutive year Easter has been named All-CACC when he finished with a time of 28:24 and finished in 13
th place at Belmont Plateau in 2013.
Freshman
Chandler Brooks (Bohemia Manor H.S./Warwick, Md.) posted a time of 28:17 which was good for an eight place finish overall. Brooks was the first rookie to cross the finish line and was named the 2014 CACC Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Year. Brooks'Â run also earned him a spot on the 2014 All-CACC team.
Logan Jones finished with a time of 29:22 which was good for a top 20 finish.
