New Haven, Conn.- Lightning Women's Soccer senior,
Alexandra Smith (Dallastown H.S./Dallastown, Pa.), has been named honorable mention player of the week for the week ending October 28
th, it has been announced by CACC officials.
In a 1-1 week for the Lightning, Alexandra tallied two goals in a 6-2 win over Concordia College on Saturday afternoon while only playing 41 minutes. Smith had four shots total, three of which were on goal. Smith tallied six total shots, four of which were on goal in a 1-0 to Wilmington University on Saturday afternoon.
With two goals this week, Smith now has a team leading 12 goals which is good for second place in the CACC despite missing three games due to injury.
With 12 goals in nine games this season, Smith ranks second in NCAA Division II goals per game with 1.33 goals per game.
This is the third weekly honor obtained by Smith this season. She has earned player of the week honors twice for the weeks ending September 30
th and again October 13
th. This is Smith's first honorable mention nod this season.
