New Haven, Conn.- Senior forward Nicole Curry (Lenape H.S./Mount Laurel, N.J.) and sophomore goalkeeper Cindell Aguirre (Coronado H.S./El Paso, Texas) received Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference honorable mention notice for the week ending Oct. 20, it has been announced by CACC officials.
In a 1-0 week for the Lightning, Curry posted a pair of goals leading the Lightning to 3-0 win over Bloomfield College on Saturday afternoon. Curry posted a 1.000 shooting percentage, with both of her shots finding the back of the net.
With her two goals on Saturday, Curry has now posted five goals for the season and is currently in second place on the season goals list.
Aguirre posted five saves against Bloomfield College on Saturday afternoon, recording her first shutout of the season.
In two games this season she holds a perfect 1.000 save percentage.
