Stephanie Puentes Robinson (Bogota, Colombia) of Goldey-Beacom College has been named as an honorable mention selection for the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Player of the Week award for the week ending Oct. 12, it has been announced by CACC officials.
It is the third time this season Puentes Robinson has been recognized by the CACC. She earned a spot on the weekly honor roll on Sept. 22 before being named as the CACC Player of the Week on Oct. 6.
In leading the Lightning to a pair of victories last week, Puentes Robinson posted a pair of singles victories in addition to two doubles wins. With her two singles wins over the University of the Sciences and Caldwell, Puentes Robinson has won all 10 singles matches in dual match play this year.
She also extended her doubles win streak to five straight matches after posting a pair of wins against the Devils and Cougars.
The Lightning's all-time leader in singles victories, Puentes Robinson has compiled an 11-1 singles record and an 8-1 mark in doubles matches.
Led by Puentes Robinson, the Lightning will try to wrap up a bye in the upcoming Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Tennis Championship when they host Post University on Wednesday, Oct. 15 at 3 p.m.
