NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Senior forward
Luiz Ristow (Joinville, Brazil) of Goldey-Beacom College has been selected as the winner of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week award for the week ending Oct. 12, it has been announced by CACC officials.
It is the first time Ristow has earned the CACC's Player of the Week award in his two-year career at Goldey-Beacom.

Ryan Dixon said. "We have been very successful this year and Luiz is a big reason for that success. He has been the leader of our offensive efforts and is reaping the benefits of his hard work."
While leading the Lightning to a 2-0-0 record last week, Ristow scored two goals and added two assists. In the Lightning's 6-2 victory over East Stroudsburg on Thursday, he tallied a goal with two assists as the Lightning scored a season-high six goals.
Ristow also scored the game-winning goal in the 94th minute against Felician on Sunday as the Lightning held off the Golden Falcons for a 2-1 victory.
The Lightning's leading scorer with nine goals and five assists, Ristow ranks third in the CACC with 23 points. He has scored four goals with four assists in the last four matches and posted a pair of goals in a 4-3 victory over Georgian Court on Sept. 30.
Led by Ristow, the Lightning have won four of their last five matches and will host Wilmington University on Tuesday, Oct. 14 at 3:30 p.m.
