NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Senior
Stewart Reich (Gov. Thomas Johnson H.S./Frederick, Md.) of Goldey-Beacom College has been named as the recipient of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week award for the week ending Sept. 29, it has been announced by CACC officials.
Reich, who has been named to the CACC's weekly honor roll three times this season, earned the CACC Runner of the Week award for the second time in his college career.
The Lightning's top runner for the fourth consecutive meet, Reich earned a seventh place individual finish at the Don Cathcart Invitational hosted by Salisbury University on Saturday afternoon. He completed the 8K course in a time of 25 minutes, 38 seconds.
Led by Reich, the Lightning earned a fifth place team finish after scoring 155 points.
Reich and the Lightning will host the annual Goldey-Beacom College Fall Classic on Saturday, Oct. 5 at Carousel Park. The men's race will begin at approximately 9:45 a.m.
