NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Senior midfielder
Andre Jank (Campo Grande, Brazil) of Goldey-Beacom College has been named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference men's soccer honor roll for the week ending Sept. 29, it has been announced by CACC officials.
It is the first time Jank has been recognized by the CACC in his career.
In leading the Lightning to a pair of victories over the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and Nyack College last week, Jank scored three goals as Goldey-Beacom snapped a six-match losing streak. After scoring two goals in the Lightning's 4-3 victory over the Mountain Cats on Thursday, Jank gave Goldey-Beacom a 2-0 lead with his fourth goal of the season in the second half of a 2-0 triumph over the Warriors.
A four-year letter winner for the Lightning, Jank is tied for ninth place on the Lightning's career scoring list with 27 points. With 12 goals, he is seventh in school history.
Led by Jank, the Lightning will face NYIT in a non-conference match on Monday, Sept. 30 before a pair of CACC contests against Georgian Court and Dominican.
