NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Junior
Stephanie Puentes Robinson (Bogota, Colombia) of Goldey-Beacom College has been named as a co-recipient of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week award for the week ending Sept. 22, it has been announced by CACC officials.
It is the third week in a row that Puentes Robinson has earned CACC Player of the Week notice. She shared this week's award with junior
Morgan Oechsle (Southern Lehigh H.S./Coopersburg, Pa.) of Chestnut Hill College.
Puentes Robinson advanced to the quarterfinals of the 'A' singles draw at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division II East Regional Championship last weekend in addition to earning a pair of victories in the Lightning's dual match victory over Holy Family.

Charlotte Dawson (Odessa, Texas) of Chestnut Hill, Puentes Robinson suffered a tough 6-4, 6-2 loss against top-seeded

Meanwhile, Puentes Robinson helped the Lightning tie a school record with their third consecutive shutout in a 9-0 victory over Holy Family on Wednesday afternoon. She posted a 6-2, 6-2 victory over freshman
Emerald Adams after teaming with freshman
Maria Angeles Victoria Martinez (Totana, Spain) for an 8-1 triumph at number two doubles.
Puentes Robinson, who is the two-time reigning CACC Player of the Year, has posted a 5-1 overall singles record and a 3-1 doubles mark this season.
The Lightning, who are off to a 3-0 start for the second straight year, will resume their CACC schedule on Tuesday, Sept. 24 by visiting Philadelphia University for a 4 p.m. match against the Rams.
