Kadi McCoy Named to CACC Weekly Honor Roll

Junior Outside Hitter Posted 20 Kills in Loss to Chestnut Hill

Kadi McCoy earned CACC honor roll notice after a 20-kill performance last Tuesday.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - After recording 20 kills in a five-set loss against Chestnut Hill, junior outside hitter Kadi McCoy (Dallastown H.S./Dallastown, Pa.) of the Goldey-Beacom College volleyball team has been named as a selection to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference weekly volleyball honor roll, it has been announced by CACC officials.

It is the second time in as many weeks McCoy has been recognized by the CACC. She earned Player of the Week notice last week after leading the Lightning to three wins against Cheyney and Delaware Valley.

McCoy, who has played in all nine matches for the Lightning this season, posted her second straight 20-kill effort while hitting .259 in the Lightning's five-set loss against Chestnut Hill last Tuesday night. She also added five digs and two service aces.

In nine matches this season, McCoy leads the Lightning with 111 kills and is tied for second on the team with 12 service aces. She ranks fourth in the CACC by averaging 3.36 kills per set.

In addition, McCoy has also moved into third place on the Lightning's all-time list with 729 career kills, passing Ashley Carberry (2005-06). She is one of four players in school history to tally 700 or more career kills.

Off to a 3-6 start this season, McCoy and the Lightning will begin a four-match road trip on Thursday night by visiting Bowie State for a non-conference match at 7 p.m.
