Richmond-Peters Earns Spot on CACC Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll

Senior Forward Tallied First Career "Double Double" Against Bloomsburg

NEW HAVEN, Conn.
- Senior forward Briana Richmond-Peters (Brimm Medical Arts H.S./Camden, N.J.) of Goldey-Beacom College has been named as an honorable mention selection for the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women's basketball weekly awards for the week ending Dec. 1, it has been announced by CACC officials.

It is the first time Richmond-Peters has been recognized by the CACC in her college career.

In leading the Lightning to a split of their two games last week, Richmond-Peters averaged 14.5 points and 12.0 rebounds per contest. After scoring eight points with 12 rebounds in a 63-57 victory over Georgian Court on Tuesday night, Richmond-Peters recorded the first "double double" of her college career with a career-high 21 points and 12 rebounds at Bloomsburg on Sunday afternoon.

A starter in all seven games for Coach Bethann Burke and the Lightning, Richmond-Peters is the team's second-leading scorer with an 11.3 average. She also leads the team with a 9.6 rebounding average, which ranks fifth in the CACC. With a .494 field goal percentage, she ranks eighth in the CACC.

After starting the season with a seven-game road trip, Richmond-Peters and the Lightning will open their home schedule on Saturday, Dec. 7 by hosting Concordia in a CACC match-up in the Joseph West Jones College Center at 1 p.m.
