PIKE CREEK, Del. – Goldey-Beacom College will host alumni men's and women's soccer games at Nancy Churchman-Sawin Field on Aug. 21. The women's game will start at 2 p.m. and the men's game will follow at 4 p.m.

The Lightning women's soccer team is looking to bounce back from a 2-14 season in 2009. They return 14 of 17 players from last year's roster and fourth-year head coach John Cappiello has brought in five promising recruits.
The men's team is coming off of the program's best season since 2003. Head coach Dr. Michael Finizio led the Lightning to a 6-12 mark and their first berth in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference tournament in seven years. Finizio, who enters his 13th year at GBC with 90 career coaching wins, has 13 returning players from last year's roster.
