PIKE CREEK, Del. – Teaneck High School’s (Teaneck, N.J.) Kyle Steinbergin has committed to Goldey-Beacom College and will join the Lightning squad for the 2010-11 season, head coach Chuck Hammond announced July 26.
The 5-11 shooting guard will most likely redshirt his freshman season, according to Hammond.
Steinbergin helped lead Teaneck to a 21-7 mark this past season and a final NJ Hoops ranking of 34th in the state. He averaged 13.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game, and he was selected a Northjersey.com 1st Team All-County pick. He was also named to the NJ Hoops All-Shooter 2nd Team.
As a junior, he averaged 10.7 points, 3.0 steals and 2.7 assists per game and hit an astounding 68 three-point field goals.
The summer after his sophomore season, Steinberger was named a co-most valuable player at the Teaneck Summer League.
