NCAA Regional Poll Release
INDIANAPOLIS – The Goldey-Beacom College women's tennis team earned a No. 6 ranking in the first official NCAA Division II rankings voted on by the NCAA Division II Women's Tennis Committee.
The Lightning were previously ranked No. 7 in a poll published by ITA, but were bumped up to No. 6 in the first NCAA poll. Championship selections will take place on Apr. 28.
GBC was 13-2 during the Fall season and advanced to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference finals before bowing out to conference newcomer, Concordia (who is currently No. 2 in the region). The Lightning are 0-1 this Spring after suffering an 8-1 loss to East Stroudsburg on Mar. 28. They will host the No. 1 team in the region, Queens College (N.Y.) on Sat., Apr. 10 at 1:30.
