NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Freshman Devonne Richardson of the Goldey-Beacom College women’s basketball team has earned her third rookie of the week honor from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference for the week ending Feb. 28.
The 5-8 small forward from Baltimore, Md. averaged 13.0 points, 13.3 rebounds and 5.0 steals per-game in a 2-1 week for the Lightning that included the program’s first-ever victory over Philadelphia University. She tallied a double-double in all three games, including a 15-point, 14-rebound, six-steal performance at Post.
Richardson finished the regular season with nine double-doubles, and ranks second in the league in rebounding with 9.9 per-contest. She and the Lightning will visit Philadelphia U. again on Tues. night at the Gallagher Center in the CACC Tournament quarterfinals at 7 p.m.
