PIKE CREEK, Del. – Goldey-Beacom College third-year women’s soccer head coach John Cappiello will be running his final two Winter indoor soccer clinics this Friday night, Feb. 5 (6:30-8 p.m.) and Sat., Feb, 6 (3:30-5 p.m.) at the Joseph West Jones Center on the GBC campus.
The application fee is $120 per session which includes 90 minutes of technical and tactical instruction from the GBC coaching staff, an on-site athletic trainer, and individual player and team development. The clinic is open to all high school girls and boys teams. Groups with less than 12 players can possibly be combined with other groups for that particular session depending on the response.
Cappiello took over as head coach of the Goldey-Beacom College women's soccer program in 2007. He brings over 15 years of coaching experience. Before GBC, Cappiello served as the head men’s soccer coach at Point Park University (NAIA) for the 2005 and 2006 seasons. He also held the positions of Delaware ODP head coach (2005-06) and head coach of the Kirkwood Phantoms/U-18 Girls/USYSA Delaware State Champion (2005-06) teams. Cappiello has also served as head men’s coach at Delaware Tech Stanton Community College (2002-04), head men’s and women’s coach at Cecil Community College (1999-01), Delaware ODP U-17 girls head coach (2000-04), head coach of the Kirkwood Blue Monkeys/U-12 & U-13 Girls (2003), and head coach of the Miramonte High School boys team (1991-98).
