Thirteen Goldey-Beacom College Student- Athletes were recognized by the Division II Athletic Directors Association (DII ADA).

Wilmington, DE – Thirteen Goldey-Beacom College Student- Athletes were recognized by the Division II Athletic Directors Association (DII ADA). 

The Division II Athletics Directors Association announced the inaugural recipients of the DII ADA Academic Achievement Awards presented by WeatherPORT.  The Academic Achievement Awards is a program that recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at the Division II level. 

Goldey-Beacom boasted thirteen student-athletes from eight different sports.  Each of the student-athletes that received the award met the following requirements defined by the DII ADA:

1.     Have a cumulative grade point average of a 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale

2.     Have attended a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college

3.     Have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during his/her last academic year

The Lightning Student-Athletes that were honored are;

Kyle Bailey – Men's Soccer

Garrett Shuler – Men's Soccer

Noel White – Men's Soccer

Joseph Landers – Men's Golf

Alan Passwaters – Men's Cross Country

Jonathan Michalechen – Men's Cross Country

Brittany Knotts – Women's Softball

Laura Yanacek – Women's Soccer

Kellyn Nolan – Women's Basketball

Christine Hudock – Women's Volleyball

Jessica Kaszeta – Women's Cross Country

Erin Yake – Women's Cross Country

Teresa Taylor – Women's Cross Country

 

The thirteen student-athletes from Goldey-Beacom were joined by fifteen from Georgian Court and twenty-two from Caldwell to make up the 50 student-athletes recognized in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference.  The DII ADA honored a total of 2,188 student athletes in the inaugural honors.
