Wilmington, DE – Attenberger and Eriksson earn Second Team All-CACC

Kate Attenberger and Karin Eriksson earned Second Team All-CACC honors for Women's Soccer for the 2008 season.

Attenberger, a junior from Newark, Delaware, earned the award for the first time in her career at Goldey-Beacom.  A central midfielder, Kate started in all fifteen games this season for the Lightning, and produced 4 goals and a team-leading 8 assists. 

Karin Eriksson, a freshman from Stockholm, Sweden, lead the Lightning in scoring with a team-leading 9 goals and 4 assists.  Earlier in the season, Karin was named Player of the Week for the CACC.    

“The honors for Kate and Karin are well deserved for both of them.  The awards for them added another bright spot to the 2008 Lightning Women's Soccer season and the improvement that the team has made over the year,” states Coach Cappiello.
